The photo on the left shows a meeting that Ronald had with a number of former players (alumni), who graduated from our program in 2013. One has a family with a son, another becomes a lawyer, a therapist for the disabled, three go into banking and there is a teacher. The impact we have had on them has changed their lives.

The right photo shows René, who now lives in Woerden, the Netherlands with the flag of the local Indonesian club, this is his story. "At the end of 2018, I went to Indonesia for two periods of three months to help out at Awas Kaki and the Terang Bangsa football club. I had just stopped my secondary vocational education due to a knee injury and wanted to make good use of the gap year I would get. With Awas Kaki I certainly succeeded! I had a great time in Indonesia during these periods. I assisted in providing training to youth and coached at competitions. In sports I have I was able to experience first-hand how Christian values ​​are used to create a better life for underprivileged young people and their families through sport. When I returned to the Netherlands, I started studying Social Work. After this study, I ended up in youth work and have been working here for a number of years with great pleasure."

The food project we organized during COVID (2021) is bearing great fruit: we have opened many doors in the countryside by distributing 85,000 food parcels!
